ProFootballDoc: Injury Impact for Rams-49ers Monday Night Football

The best health-based call for Sunday was our strongest. Philadelphia cruised on the road to an easy 30-13 victory. The worst was taking Tampa Bay, which got beat outright by Washington.

We had our first push of the year in the Saints-Titans game. When I began to write the article Saturday morning, the total was 44.5 for a close win (even with the phantom roughing the passer call that erased an end zone interception and ended in a touchdown), but we try to use lines at the time of article submission, and the evening line then was 44, so we ended in a push. This is done for tracking and consistency to avoid market timing and line movement decisions where the OutKick reader can't get the FanDuel lines that we quote.

The 2-2-1 day leaves us at 27-22-1 on the season through 10 Sundays.

On to Monday's NFC West matchup of California teams.

LA RAMS -3.5 vs SAN FRANCISCO

document.write('');

The Rams rate double digits healthier on the SIC score over the 49ers for the team, offense and defense. San Francisco does get incrementally healthier offensively as Jeff Wilson Jr. is set to debut this season. Defensively, there are still five key issues, including three of the four secondary starters.

The Rams lost Robert Woods to an ACL tear, but they happened to have just added Odell Beckham Jr. to take his spot. OBJ is getting healthier, as reflected in his improving SIC score, which is approaching the 80s despite his disappointing production so far this season due to knee and shoulder issues. The big defensive addition, Von Miller, is also poised to play for the first time.

It would seem the 7-2 Rams are in position to cover the -3.5 on the road against the 3-5 49ers, but this is just about a must-win for San Francisco.
