Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft: Picks 17-32
The NFL season isn't quite over yet, but a lot of teams are already in full draft mode. The Senior Bowl just concluded down in Mobile, so we thought it was the perfect time to release another mock to identify any changes in draft stock.
This is the second of a two-part mock draft, highlighting picks Nos. 17 through 32. If you want to check out Part I, you can find that below.
*Note: There are no projected trades in this mock.
Part I: Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft: Picks 1-16
17. Las Vegas Raiders - Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
The slight tumble for Micah Parsons comes to an end with the Las Vegas Raiders. Yes, Parsons is talented, and he brings some versatility to the table. But it wouldn't be all that surprising to see him available at this pick, especially after teams didn't get to watch him in 2020.
18. Miami Dolphins - Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
This seems like the ceiling for a running back, but Najee Harris could make a major difference in Miami. After snagging Jaylen Waddle at No. 3, the Dolphins elect to give Tua Tagovailoa another familiar weapon. Harris will be an upgrade as a runner, and he could also be another quality option in the passing game.
19. Washington - Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
The Washington Football Team are in a tough spot here. Quarterback is a major need, but there aren't any worth taking with Mac Jones going to New England back at pick No. 15. Instead, they choose to give whoever is under center another talented receiver opposite breakout star Terry McLaurin.
20. Chicago Bears - Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU
For the second year in a row, there are plenty of receivers worth taking on Day 1 and 2. Terrace Marshall Jr. is another one of those many options, and like Washington, the Bears won't find any value at quarterback with this pick. Adding an offensive lineman is another route Chicago might choose to take, especially if they bring Allen Robinson back.
21. Indianapolis Colts - Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas
It was brutal seeing Matthew Stafford get traded to the Los Angeles Rams. The fit in Indianapolis would have been perfect, but now the team must turn their attention to other options at quarterback. In the meantime, a replacement for Anthony Castanzo is needed on the blindside after his retirement.
22. Tennessee Titans - Joseph Ossai, EDGE, Texas
The Titans had an atrocious pass rush this past season. Jadeveon Clowney was a bust, and there was no consistency amongst anyone in the group. Joseph Ossai could go a bit earlier than this, but if he makes it to No. 22, he would be of great value for Mike Vrabel and company. He would also fill the biggest need on the roster.
23. New York Jets - Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
The Jets already landed a new quarterback, Zach Wilson, at No. 2. Now, it's time to give him more options to throw to -- or at least more than Sam Darnold has been given in New York. Kadarius Toney had a great season (89 touches, 1,145 total yards and 11 touchdowns) for Florida. He's electric and could make an impact in a variety of ways.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers - Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia
If Ossai isn't available to Tennessee, I could certainly see Azeez Ojulari being a nice fallback option. With this mock, it's the Steelers who land the talented edge player out of Georgia. There are some limitations with Ojulari due to his length, but I feel like Pittsburgh could find ways to utilize him correctly. Bud Dupree is currently set to hit free agency.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars - Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame
Trevor Lawrence is the future at quarterback, but with Cam Robinson set to hit free agency, an OT replacement is needed -- unless he gets re-signed. Liam Eichenberg isn't anything special, but he's a steady tackle prospect who has the ability to start -- and be effective -- from Day 1.
26. Cleveland Browns - Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa
Cleveland needs help in two areas: at linebacker and with the pass rush opposite Myles Garrett. Why not draft a guy who can a little bit of both? At 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, Zaven Collins is surprisingly effective as an off-ball linebacker. He is also able to roll down and provide some help getting after the quarterback.
27. Baltimore Ravens - Alijah Vera-Tucker, IOL, USC
The Ravens didn't do enough to replace retired guard Marshal Yanda. To make matters worse, Orlando Brown Jr. may have played his last snap in Baltimore after tweeting that he is only a left tackle. Alijah Vera-Tucker is capable of playing tackle or guard, and he could actually go much higher than this.
28. New Orleans Saints - Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
I don't like that Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah fell all the way down to No. 28. He could end up with the Browns, Raiders or maybe even somewhere higher, but the value here would be amazing for New Orleans. More help is desperately needed next to Demario Davis, and Owusu-Koramoah is a versatile linebacker/safety hybrid.
29. Green Bay Packers - D'Wayne Eskridge, WR, Western Michigan
I had heard good things about D'Wayne Eskridge throughout the season, but seeing him in person down at the Senior Bowl sealed it for me. He's an explosive athlete with quick feet, and it would be wise for Green Bay to actually give Aaron Rodgers another weapon after last year's draft.
30. Buffalo Bills - Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
Bills fans might have a few flashbacks to C.J. Spiller, but don't. Etienne is a superior, more complete talent who will be able to take a lot of pressure off Josh Allen and the passing game. Najee Harris would be the top want at this position, but Etienne isn't far behind.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama
Tom Brady might play past 45 years old, apparently. If that is indeed the plan, it might be time to make new plans at left tackle. Donovan Smith just isn't it, and while Alex Leatherwood has a few question marks, he's worthy of a shot here. Back-to-back offensive tackles for Tampa Bay.
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Wyatt Davis, IOL, Ohio State
Patrick Mahomes is the future, not only for the Chiefs, but the NFL as well. In order to make sure he stays that way, Kansas City needs to keep improving the talent around him. Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz should both be back from injury to man the tackle spots, but another guard would go a long way in solidifying things up front.
Best available: EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami; LB Nick Bolton, Missouri; EDGE Jaelan Phillips, Miami; IDL Christian Barmore, Alabama; CB Aaron Robinson, UCF; OT Jalen Mayfield, Michigan; IDL Levi Onwuzurike, Washington; WR Rondale Moore, Purdue
