Patrick Mahomes Partners With USA Football For Youth Coaching Clinics

The next generation of football is in good hands with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes under center.

The star QB for KC and his organization, 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, focuses on raising money for programs made to help youth across American get engaged in sports and other activities fit to inspire development.

With the the help of USA Football, Mahomes and his charity will provide funding via grants to 15 youth football leagues this upcoming Fall.

In an announcement released on Monday from the MVP quarterback:

"Smart coaching can make a lasting and positive impact on kids and their sports development. I'm happy to partner with USA Football to support healthy football practices for coaches and youth athletes across the K.C. region."

Funding will go toward setting up three coaching clinics for the selected youth football programs from July to August throughout Kansas City.

The 15 and the Mahomies Foundation official website mission statement reads:

"15 and the Mahomies is dedicated to improving the lives of children. The Foundation supports initiatives that focus on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes."

USA Football chief executive Scott Hallenbeck followed up the announcement with praise for Patrick Mahomes as a sports figure committed to helping young athletes across the U.S. receive the best training and resources after 2020 kept many kids waiting on the sidelines.

"Patrick's commitment to kids through his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation is immense and uncommon," shared Hallenbeck. "We value Patrick's friendship and love of the game to deliver best-in-class coach training and grants to help elevate youth football programs throughout Greater Kansas City."

After a record-breaking extension with the Chiefs in July 2020 — worth approximately $503 million — the 25-year-old Mahomes is ready to pave the way forward in the NFL. Mahomes is also looking to add to his promising legacy after two consecutive trips to the Super Bowl, and 1-1 record to show for it.

In February 2021, Mahomes and his fiancée, Brittany Matthews, announced the birth of their first child, Sterling Skye Mahomes.
