JJ Watt Offers Doppelganger 15 Minutes of Fame

J.J. Watt has discovered his doppelganger, and the Arizona Cardinals defensive end had a hilarious response after finding his look-alike.

Matt Betz, a former defensive lineman at West Liberty University, caught the eye of the Cardinals defensive end when the Random College Athletes Twitter account tweeted a photo.

Betz played for the Hilltoppers from 2008-13, which briefly coincided with Watt's college career. The latter spent a year in residence at Wisconsin in 2008 after transferring from Central Michigan, before playing two seasons for the Badgers in 2009 and 2010, Sporting News reports.

Betz also retweeted several other jokes about his and Watt's resemblance.

Per West Liberty's team site, Betz finished his playing career as a redshirt senior in 2012. Sporting News reports that he is credited with playing in 40 games over his five-year career, totaling 114 tackles, 13.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and three passes defended.

While Watt accounted for 106 tackles and 11.5 sacks in his college career, though he only played in three seasons. Based on West Liberty's site, Betz also has a significant five-inch height disadvantage to Watt and weighs slightly less than the NFL star.
