Jets Passing Game Coach Greg Knapp Suffers Critical Injuries In Bicycle Accident

New York Jets passing game specialist Greg Knapp was reportedly in a bicycle accident over that weekend that has left him in critical condition. That unfortunate news comes from tweets sent out on Monday night from Mike Klis of 9NEWS.

According to his tweets, Klis heard about Knapp's accident from several players and coaches. He was able to confirm that information with the longtime NFL coach's agent Jeff Sperbeck. Knapp is in the hospital in critical condition after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle in California.

Knapp has spent almost a quarter of a century coaching in the NFL. During his 23 years, he's spent time with seven different teams, including the 49ers, Falcons, Raiders, Seahawks, Texans, Broncos and, most recently, the Jets.

From 2001-12, Knapp was an offensive coordinator for several of those teams and had multiple stops at a couple places. Before Robert Saleh hired him to come to New York, he had spent the previous three seasons coaching Matt Ryan as the quarterback coach in Atlanta.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Knapp and his family.
