Jacksonville Jaguars Release Tight End Tim Tebow

Maybe it was the tough outing against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night, or maybe it was just too much to overcome for someone who hasn't played the game in quite a long time.

Whatever the case is, Tuesday was the end of the NFL road for former QB Tim Tebow, who has now officially been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It wasn't the craziest idea for Tebow to take the summer and try out for the Jags, especially with former college coach Urban Meyer in his corner.

Tebow had a moment or two of success, but overall, he was just not a playmaker at the tight end spot.

Meyer admitted after the preseason loss to Cleveland Saturday night that the entire team, including Tebow, struggled to do much on either side of the ball.

Video showed that Tebow still had a lot left to do to make the Jags roster.

Now that the NFL dream is over for Tebow, he's got plenty of options to continue his career in the spotlight. He'll likely go right back to television to talk football for some network in the 2021 season.
