It's NFL Draft Season For A Handful Of Teams: Here's A Look At The Order If Season Ended Today

It's Week 15 in the NFL which means for at least a handful of teams, it's time to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas.

The Lions, Jaguars, Texans and Jets are the four teams that have been eliminated from playoff contention thus far. As we countdown to the draft on April, 28, 2022, here is how things stand: *Denotes teams in playoff position

With the Lions in prime position to have the first overall pick, the first time since selecting quarterback Matthew Stafford in 2009, the likely pick would appear to be Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux, as reported by CBSSports' Josina Anderson.

In any other year, a quarterback would surely be the pick for Detroit. Jared Goff is 1-16-1 in his career without Sean McVay and has struggled throughout the season. However, there doesn't appear to be a consensus No. 1 quarterback option coming out. Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett and Ole Miss' Matt Corral are arguably the best options, with Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder and Liberty's Malik Willis not too far behind.

The rest of the top prospects include: LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal, Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton.
