Henry Ruggs III Comes Up One Pin Short Of Bowling Perfect Game

Though selected No. 12 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III didn't have the first season many were hoping. But with his combination of elite speed, above-average route running and impressive hands, a second-year leap is in the cards.

Ruggs isn't only good at football though. Apparently, he's quite the bowler, and he put those skills on display during an outing on Thursday.

Touchdown Alabama Magazine shared on Twitter an Instagram post from the Raiders. In the embedded video, Ruggs is seen coming up one pin short of bowling a strike. Bummer right? Well, it gets worse -- or better, depending on your perspective.

That one pin left standing cost Ruggs a perfect game. Up to that point, he had been perfect, but his final score sat at a cool 299. Considering my best games are in the 140-150 range, I would've been incredibly happy with a 299. But considering Ruggs spent three years with Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa, I wouldn't be surprised if he was aiming for perfection.

I know someone is going to bring up that Ruggs or someone else there could've manually altered the score prior to that final bowl. But I'm not allowing myself to go there. This is completely legit, and that's the last I'll hear of it.
