Former Pac-12 Star And Bills OL Trey Adams Announces Retirement

Trey Adams of the Buffalo Bills has spent more time on in the doctor's office than the football field, and one of the most highly touted offensive lineman to emerge from the Pac-12 in recent seasons has now decided to call it a career.

Adams, 24, was named to the All-Pac 12 first-team and second-team All-America while at the University of Washington in 2016. But things haven't panned out in the NFL, as Adams suffered a torn ACL in a game against Arizona State in 2017. He then missed most of 2018 with a back issue, and ended up not getting drafted in 2020.

“Thank you football for everything,” Adams wrote on Instagram. “I have put much thought into this decision and it is time for me to retire from the game that has given me so much…I will always be a dawg! And thank you to the Buffalo Bills for believing in me. And to every teammate I’ve had, Thank you for being my brothers and I will never forget the long practices, conditioning and locker room talk. Love you boys.”

While Adams is out, the Bills still have plenty of quality blockers for standout quarterback Josh Allen. That list includes former Chargers lineman Forrest Lamp.
