Former Cowboys And Ravens WR Bryant Says More Athletes Should Support Deshaun Watson

Former Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens wide out Dez Bryant is speaking out, giving support to controversial Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Bryant, who has had his own controversies during his years in the NFL, went on Instagram in support of Watson, who has now been accused of sexually assaulting 20 women.

The wide receiver said that more players in the NFL and athletes in general should be supporting the quarterback.

“I’m sorry you have to go through this bro and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. This needs attention so other athletes will get out of the mindset of 'it won’t ever happen to them,'" Bryant wrote on Instagram.

"A lot of powerful people truly believe they gave us our powers… they only provided a platform….True or not Desahun Watson is his name.. athletes protecting your reputation should be your #1 priority”

I dont see enough athletes supporting you out loud and hoping the best outcome for all parties involved. Thats our problem… we support until proven guilty….”

Bryant is 100 percent right that Watson is innocent until proven guilty, but the significant number of women who have come forth isn't a good look for the quarterback, who wants to be traded out of Houston for the 2021 season.

How the civil litigation filed against Watson will unfold, whether the Texans will try and trade him and whether the NFL will sit the young QB for his off the field conduct all remain to be seen.
