DK Metcalf Drops His NSFW Reply To Shannon Sharpe
The Twitter feud between Seahawks star wideout DK Metcalf and FS1's Shannon Sharpe is alive and well after another dust up this morning. Metcalf attempted to gain extra yardage during Sunday Night Football last week, which led to a fumble which was luckily recovered by a teammate. That play drew criticism from Sharpe, and Metcalf wasn't thrilled to hear it.
"Stop questioning me lil boy," Metcalf tweeted.
And at six-foot-four, 225 pounds, DK Metcalf can literally call almost anyone a little boy. But calling a Hall of Famer a little boy? That's a bold move.
Because of that post-career status, Sharpe can criticize any player in the NFL and get away with it. It's one of those annoying realities DK must pick up on. It doesn't necessarily mean the criticism will always be fair or correct, but a gold jacket is the "get out of jail free" card in terms of Twitter clap back.
It seems that Metcalf got the right people in his ear after his latest response that seems to lighten the mood:
Using a résumé to validate criticism will always be fair game. Sharpe worked hard for that right, and it's just hilarious to witness how many players the Hall of Famer can tick off over the course of a season.
If I were a betting man, I'd say DK Metcalf is well on his way to that elusive club as well. Hopefully Sharpe is there for his induction.
