Clay: Rake In The Bills And Bet On Buffalo Versus New England This Weekend
NFL Wild Card weekend is here, and the matchup to bet your bottom dollar on is Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills welcoming the New England Patriots.
Saturday's matchup at Orchard Park will be the tie-breaker of the season after the Patriots ran away with Week 13's matchup (14-10) and Buffalo's tying win in Week 16 (33-21).
Bills QB Josh Allen became the difference-maker between games. OutKick founder Clay Travis cited Allen as the boogeyman heading into this week's contest, which he believes the smart money sides with Buffalo.
"The Bills went on the road in Week 16 and absolutely dominated the Patriots," noted Clay. "It was not really that close."
Buffalo is a four-point favorite at home against the Pats, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
In Week 13, the Bills were bested by rookie QB Mac Jones and three total pass attempts. Buffalo wasted no time producing an offensive onslaught in Game 2.
"The Bills up 33 on them. Passing yards for Josh Allen, over 300. Were great on third down. Turned the Patriots over in the 12-point win," Clay said.
Clay added that the shifting nature of the in-season series will ultimately fall in favor of Sean McDermott's team, enough to walk away with AFC East dominance.
"Remember what's at play here: the Bills lost at home in November because the weather conditions were so crazy, Mac Jones only attempted three passes. The Bills were throwing into the end zone with a chance to try and find a way to win late. It didn't end up happening for them."

"I think you look at the trajectory that both of these teams are on. In the middle part of the year, yes, the Patriots got hot. Then it feels like everybody kinda caught up with them. I believe the Bills win this game by a touchdown or more. I know they've been dominated historically by the Patriots, but this will be sweet redemption."
