Bruce Arians Not A Fan Of Tom Brady's Newfound Running Ability
If you've watched a Buccaneers game this season, chances are you've noticed the new wrinkle quarterback Tom Brady has added to his game.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion is apparently a dual-threat now, though don't tell head coach Bruce Arians that.
"That's enough of that s--t," said Arians, after the 33-27 win over the Bills on Sunday.
Brady took off seven times for 16 yards, including a 13-yard scamper to pick up a first down with 3:42 remaining in the first quarter. With nobody open downfield and green grass in front of him, Brady tucked the ball and ran straight, capping off the run with a perfectly executed baseball slide.
The 13-yard pick up was Brady's longest run of the season, eclipsing the 10-yarder he had against the Giants on Nov. 22. Brady even lowered his shoulder at one point to pick up a first down, extending his arm out past the marker.
Of course, Brady was his usual self in the passing game, having yet another MVP type performance. Brady finished 31-of-46 passing for 363 yards and two touchdowns. The latter touchdown was the game winner, a pass to receiver Breshad Perriman, who outran the Bills defense for a 58-yard score in overtime.
Not bad for a 44-year-old coming off offseason knee surgery.
