Brady Hints That He Could Play Till He's 50
Tom Brady haters, look away. The G.O.AT. thinks he could play till 50 if he wants to.
The 44-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion revealed such news in the newest episode of "Tommy and Gronky," a sit-down skit that the Buccaneers posted to their website and YouTube page.
Teammate Rob Gronkowski asked Brady whether he could play for another decade, and Brady said he doesn't think it would be that hard to do so.
“Wow. Seems to be a really hot question lately,” Brady said. “Can Tom Brady play ’til 50? Like, 50 years old? . . . I don’t find it so difficult. Plus, in Florida, it’s kind of a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then just glide into retirement. I think I can. I think it’s a yes.”
Should Brady play till he's 50, one can only imagine he'd have more Super Bowls to his name. After all, it's hard to see Brady playing that long if his play is not up to snuff.
There's no doubt this season, however, that his play is as good as it's ever been. Brady was PFF's No. 1 graded quarterback in Week 1 for his play in the Buccaneers' 31-29 victory over the Cowboys last Thursday.
At this point, we're not sure if Brady is human. No player in any sport has ever kept up this level of play for this long. There must be something in that avocado tequila that we know Brady loves so much.
