Bill Belichick Gives Typical Belichick Response When Asked About Tom Brady

Bill Belichick isn't much of a talker -- or at least I don't know him to be much of a talker. When dealing with the media, the longtime head coach of the New England Patriots usually keeps his responses to a minimum.

Don't get me wrong, we'll occasionally see Belichick give a well thought out, insightful reply when a question strikes him the right way. But on Wednesday, the question about his former quarterback, Tom Brady, did not strike him the right way.

When a reporter asked whether Belichick reached out to Brady following his seventh Super Bowl victory back in February, the 69-year-old head coach gave one of his typical, uninformative retorts.

“I think I’ll keep those conversations privately between myself and the other people that are involved,” Belichick said, via NESN. “Appreciate the question.”

Well, that's a bummer. But it's probably my fault for expecting anything more from Belichick than what we got. I've watched this same dull approach for over two decades now, so I'm not sure why I thought a touchy subject like Brady would help Belichick to open up.

To be fair to him, his dealings with the media are strikingly similar to the ones we see from longtime Alabama coach Nick Saban. Since they're considered the best two head coaches in football, maybe they're onto something.

We're in the middle of the longest football drought of the offseason. I'm just trying to find a topic to keep me occupied as we try to navigate our way back to August and September, so bear with me.
