Bengals' Tweet On 'Steelers Week' Prompts Trash Talk

How do you make sure an undefeated opponent stays extra motivated?

If you're the Cincinnati Bengals, you tweet a video from 2005. The video shows former wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh cleaning his cleats with a Terrible Towel, the yellow-and-black piece of cloth waved by Pittsburgh Steelers fans as they root on their team.

Not surprisingly, the Bengals' tweet garnered some reaction from at least one former Steeler.

"This never ends well....proud of you though lil bro," former Steelers guard Ramon Foster tweeted. "Dad (Steelers) said he home before the street lights turn on."

Baltimore Ravens linebacker L.J. Fort also weighed in.

"PR team writing checks they ain’t gotta cash," Fort said of the Bengals video.

The Steelers are 8-0. The Bengals are 2-5-1. The Steelers have beaten the Bengals 10 straight times and are 9-point favorites in this one. Somehow, someway, the Steelers have been contenders for most of the past 20 years. The Bengals are almost always in rebuild mode. This AFC North matchup is hardly a rivalry, given that it's so one-sided.

And what a welcome Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow is sure to receive for his first game in Pittsburgh.

Foster summed it up well with a follow-up tweet.

"Throwing unneeded gas on a fire that’s always burning well," he wrote.
