Baker Mayfield Given Clearance To Practice

Baker Mayfield has received the go-ahead to practice after being removed from his brief stay on the reserve/COVID list, according to the Cleveland Browns.

Mayfield was placed on the list after coming in close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus over the weekend, but it didn't take long for the Browns to find out Mayfield is fine.

The Browns are coming off their bye week and didn't practice Tuesday.

They face the Houston Texans on Sunday, the first in a stretch of fairly winnable games. After hosting the Texans, they host the Philadelphia Eagles and then visit the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Mayfield has been far from elite, but he's much better than last season. This year, he's thrown 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions, compiling a quarterback rating of 90.9.
