Aaron Rodgers Says Injured Toe 'Should be 100%' For Divisional Round Game

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been dealing with a toe injury since Week 11's game in November, but the veteran QB said he should be "100% by next week."

Rodgers fractured his pinky toe back in November and has been battling the injury ever since. While the injury caused pain, the quarterback said on Wednesday he's back participating in practice and no longer taking a pain-killing injection to help him play.

"I haven't taken in a number of weeks now, so that's been the most encouraging thing," Rodgers said Wednesday. "Got through last week without doing one. It was just a pretty standard shot in the toe, very painful, a numbing agent. That helped get me through the games. The whole goal was to be able to not have to do that. It's been a few games without doing that. So I'm feeling good, practiced today, close to 100 percent. I think I should be 100 percent by next week."

Thankfully, for Rodgers — the current betting favorite to win the NFL MVP for a second straight year — the injury hasn't taken away from his ability to play at a high level.

Super Wild Card Weekend kicks off with an AFC showdown on Saturday as the Las Vegas Raiders travel to face the Cincinnati Bengals at 4:30 p.m. followed by the New England Patriots at the Buffalo Bills at 8:15 p.m.

The full Super Wild Card Weekend schedule can be seen here, and the Divisional Playoffs schedule will be announced next weekend.

What we do know is that there will be four divisional-round games — two on Jan. 22, and two on Jan. 23 — and the NFC North Champion Green Bay Packers (13-4) will host the team with the lowest seed.

The NFC and AFC championships will be played at the homes of the highest remaining seeds for each conference, with the NFC Championship Game on Fox and the AFC Championship Game on CBS — both will be on Jan. 30 with the times of the game to come at a later date.
