The NFL is expanding its regular season schedule to 17 games for the upcoming season. Here is the reported schedule for each team’s 17th game:
NFL is expected to expand the regular season schedule this week to 17 games. The league had played a 16-game regular season schedule since 1978, by far the longest stretch without a change in NFL history.

At first glance, football fans can’t help but notice Green Bay vs. Kansas City, Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes. There isn’t a better matchup to add to the regular-season schedule.
The NFL had played a 16-game regular-season schedule since 1978.
Don’t believe these will be in week 17. They are simply adding a 17th game that will be scheduled during the season. The last week will probably continue to be division games.
I can understand the matchups because it’s each division’s 1st place teams against each other, etc. What I don’t get is why would every game be an Away game for the NFC teams?
To me that actually makes sense. It keeps you from having teams in the same conference or division having different numbers of home games. I am assuming next year every NFC team will have the 17th game at home.
