Stanford's Dec. 12 'Home' Game Moved To Oregon State

Stanford's home game against Oregon State, scheduled for Dec. 12, won't be a home game at all. Instead, the Pac-12 matchup is being moved to Reser Stadium in Corvallis, OR, home of the Beavers.

The decision was made Tuesday as a way of sidestepping the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's emergency directive issued on Nov. 28. Among other things, the directive bans contact sports.

“All recreational activities that involve physical contact or close proximity to persons outside one’s household, including all contact sports, will be temporarily prohibited," the Santa Clara County Public Health Department order reads. "People can continue to engage in outdoor athletics and recreation where social distancing can be maintained at all times.”

The Cardinal don't have to worry about it this week, since they are scheduled to visit Washington on Saturday.

They are 1-2 overall, and since all games are conference games this season, they're also 1-2 in the Pac-12. Washington is 3-0, and Oregon is 2-2 headed into Saturday's road game against winless Utah.
