Mac Jones And The Alabama Offense Continue To Look Unstoppable

Alabama got off to a slow start against Kentucky on Saturday.

After two consecutive weekends without a game, the Crimson Tide needed time to knock some of the rust off. Once things got going, however, people were reminded that this is the best offense college football has to offer.

Alabama leads 28-3 going into the half. That offensive success includes 264 total yards, including 200 through the air from quarterback Mac Jones. He has completed 13 of his 16 pass attempts (81.3 percent) with two touchdowns.

His best throw so far came on this 10-yard touchdown to DeVonta Smith in the second quarter:

Jones is among the top Heisman Trophy candidates. His competition includes Ohio State's Justin Fields, Florida's Kyle Trask, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and current teammate Najee Harris. All deserving names, but Jones continues to prove his consistency.

At this point, stopping Alabama's offense might be too much to ask. The goal should be to slow them down enough to exploit a vulnerable defense that continues to allow success to opposing offenses.
