Leaked Video Emerges Of Brian Kelly's Final Meeting With Notre Dame Players

Four minutes. That's how long former Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly spent at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning explaining his decision to leave the school for LSU.

"The past 12 years have been the most incredible 12 years of my life for me and my family," Kelly told the players. "There was nothing here but first-class in everything that Notre Dame has done for me and my family. I saw my time here as a blessing working with incredible men on a day-to-day basis.

"But there comes a time where you look in your life for another opportunity," he added. "I felt like it was time for another challenge."

Kelly went on to say there's nobody to blame and there's no one at the school who's at fault for him leaving. The old ball coach then went on to hammer out his talking points -- "thank you for letting me have this opportunity to speak to you directly" -- before noting that "it's a sad day," then rambling on for another 20 seconds before walking out.

That's right, the players got up at 7 a.m. for that.

Wham, bam, onto a plane headed for Baton Rouge and a new contract that will pay him $95 million over 10 years and two courtesy cars. As OutKick's Glenn Guilbeau noted Wednesday, the contract makes Kelly the highest-paid coach of any sport at a public university in the country.
