Hue Jackson To Become OC Under Eddie George At Tennessee State
Former Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson is expected to be named offensive coordinator on Eddie George's staff at Tennessee State, per a report from the Tennessean.
George was named coach at Tennessee State earlier this week, and there had already been whispers Jackson would join him. George, a former star running back for the Titans, has also brought in former Titans coach Jeff Fischer to serve as a senior advisor to the FBS program.
George has never been a coach at any level, so it only makes sense for him to bring in some veterans to help guide the program -- and him.
Jackson, 55, was coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2011, and then the Browns from 2016-18. He finished 8-8 with the Raiders, and went a miserable 3-36-1 with the Browns.
Along with his time in the NFL as a head coach and offensive coordinator, Jackson spent time as an assistant in the college game, at California, USC and Cal State Fullerton.
Tennessee State is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and just wrapped up a spring season, finishing 2-5.
