College Football Playoff Rankings: Top 7 Remain Same
The top seven teams remained locked in the third College Football Poll rankings released on Tuesday night on ESPN.
Georgia (10-0) remained at the top, followed by Alabama (9-1), Oregon (9-1), Ohio State (8-1) and Cincinnati (10-0) completing the first five. Michigan (9-1) remained at No. 6 despite losing to No. 7 Michigan State (9-1) earlier this month.
Notre Dame (9-1) moved up to No. 8 from No. 9 after Oklahoma (9-1) dropped from No. 8 to No. 13 following a 27-14 loss to Baylor (8-2), which moved from No. 13 to No. 11.
The rest of the top 15 rankings have Oklahoma State (9-1) at No. 9, Wake Forest (9-1) at No. 10, Ole Miss (8-2) at No. 12, Brigham Young (8-2) at No. 14 and Wisconsin (7-3) at No. 15. Ole Miss moved up three spots from No. 15 after defeating No. 17 Auburn (6-4), which fell from the rankings.
Texas A&M (7-3) dropped from No. 11 to No. 16 after a loss to Mississippi State (6-4), which returned to the rankings at No. 25.
Iowa (8-2), Pittsburgh (8-2), San Diego State (9-1) and North Carolina State (7-3) are at No. 17 through No. 20.
Arkansas (7-3) moved up four spots to No. 21 after winning at LSU. Texas-San Antonio (10-0) is No. 22, followed by Utah (10-0) and Houston (9-1).
