Report: Los Angeles Clippers SF Kawhi Leonard Won't Play In Critical Game Five Against Utah

On the cusp of a critical Game Five Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers may have to prepare themselves to take the court without their best player, Kawhi Leonard.

Brian Windhorst reports that Leonard is NOT expected to take the court for Game Five, and that his status for the rest of the series is very much in doubt, no matter how long it may go.

The small forward was not on the court for the last 4:35 of the Clippers’ Game 4 win over the Jazz after colliding with Jazz wing Joe Ingles and apparently injuring his right knee.

After Clippers knotted up the series at two apiece, Leonard was asked whether his knee would be an issue.

“Nah, I’ll be good,” Leonard said during his postgame interview with TNT.

Leonard put on a show during the Clippers runaway win on Monday night, going off for 31 points on 9-for-19 shooting from the field.

The big effort marked his fifth 30+ point performance in 11 games this postseason. If Leonard can't go, the Clippers will have to make some major adjustments without their best player on the floor.
