NBA SGP for Nets at Mavericks

As always we are taking a shot on Tuesday with the NBA Same Game Parlay and a feature for TNT games. With the national attention, NBA players do seem to put out a better effort and product. Here’s the way I’m going with it today for the Nets at Mavericks.

Brooklyn comes into this game with a nice record, but against the spread they have not been as successful. Dallas has not been very hot lately and has suffered through injuries to Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, not to mention Tim Hardaway Jr. has been hurt too. That’s three of their five starters that are missing games. Now they have all three back but that doesn’t mean cohesion for their lineup. With the short spread, I’m starting with the Nets for this game on the spread -1.5.

Next, I’m taking Kevin Durant to score 30+ points. I try to find opportunities that are likely to happen but also plus money. Picking someone like Patty Mills to score 30+ points is very unlikely even if you were to get great odds on it. Durant is averaging 28.6 points per game already on the season. 30 is within his range any night and the Mavericks are not a good defensive team. I’m going to play him. He is at +128, but keep in mind the line keeps moving on everything today.

Luka Doncic is where I’m headed next. He is coming back from injury and is still going to be Dallas’ primary scorer. With him I like the overall depth of his game, and can’t normally rely on his outside shooting. Two threes is pretty normal for him in a game, but I think he might need to rely more on his shot rather than his mobility and getting to the rim. I’m taking Doncic to make 3+ threes tonight.

James Harden has been awful lately. I can’t remember a year that I would even consider taking him less than 2.5 threes in a game. It has to have been before he played for the Rockets. He could easily brake this parlay within the first quarter of the game. You just never know when he is going to be hot and when he isn’t. I’ll play him to get under the total though rather than the over. You could alter this with a higher juiced 2+ made as I do expect him to make two in the game.

Total parlay: +1323. A $10 play pays out $132.30
