Jiri Prochazka On KO Of Dominick Reyes: 'I Just Flow'

It was the type of scene that can turn an everyday fighter into someone who appears well on his way to becoming a star, and it happened when Jiri Prochazka knocked out Dominick Reyes in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Saturday.

How fast did it happen? In less than two rounds, as Prochazka used a spinning back elbow at the 4:29 mark of the second to quickly complete his night's work.

"I just flow," Prochazka told reporters. "After some counterpunches from Dominick, I can have no chance to think for some plans. I just was in the flow. , 'After that, maybe spinning elbow. OK, let's try it.'"

Prochazka could now be in line for a shot at the light heavyweight title -- a possibility mentioned by no less than UFC president Dana White prior to Saturday's fight. For now, light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will face Glover Teixeira at UFC 266 in September.

Meanwhile, Prochazka (28-3-1) has won 12 straight, with Saturday marking his 10th consecutive KO/TKO.

Reyes, 31, entered Saturday ranked as top-five fighter by most respected MMA websites. But after a 12-0 start, he has now dropped three straight.

Prochazka has been ranked around 10th in the light heavyweight division. But clearly, that will be different here soon. "I just want to share the beauty of martial arts," he said, and that beauty is shining through.
