Jake Paul, Triller Make Donation To UFC Flyweight Sarah Alpar's GoFundMe
There's some good in Jake Paul after all.
The YouTuber star, who has been trying his hand in the boxing ring recently, donated $5,000 to UFC flyweight Sarah Alpar through her GoFundMe page on Wednesday.
After that, it didn't take long for Paul’s old promoter, the Triller Fight Club, and others to donate to the GoFundMe as well. The money from Paul and others have pushed her amount over her goal of $30,000.
Alpar herself was stunned at the donations -- and the donors.
“I got this message and it was this person that I saw a little check mark, and it said, ‘Jake Paul sent you a message,’” Alpar said.
“I was like, ‘What? You know my existence?’”
Alpar was awarded a UFC contract back in 2019, making her debut in September. The UFC fighter is 9-5-0 in her 14 UFC fights.
Earlier this year, Alpar was scheduled to take on Stephanie Egger, but that bout was canceled due to COVID-19.
Alpar struggled financially and realized that she needed help if she wanted to train full time. The 30-year-old’s part-time job at Starbucks and teaching jiu-jitsu lessons weren't bringing in enough income to make the transition.
The $30,000 should go a long way in helping making her training dreams come true.
