Robinson Cano Out a Season and $24 Million After Failing PED Test

Robinson Cano is suspended for the year and will miss out on $24 million after he failed a test for performance enhancing drugs, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN:

The reason for the full-season suspension is that Cano previously faced an 80-game suspension for failing a PED test in 2018. His former Yankees teammate, Mark Teixeira, said matter-of-factly at the time that he was not surprised.

After this season, Cano still has two more years remaining on a 10-year, $240 million contract that he originally signed with the Mariners before the 2014 season.
