Reds Joey Votto Meets Young Fan Upset Over His Ejection

It was quite a weekend for Reds slugger Joey Votto, who was tossed from Saturday's game against the Padres.

Votto was ejected from Saturday's 7-5 loss after arguing a check-swing appeal on a called strike three. Reds manager David Bell was also tossed from the game.

Votto didn't know it at the time, but a young fan was attending her first MLB game that day, and guess who her favorite player is?

You got it - Votto.

Votto heard about the situation after he was sent packing, and sent the young fan a signed baseball to cheer her up.

Wanting to do more, Reds general manager Nick Krall and clubhouse manager Rick Stowe then provided the Votto fan and her family tickets to Sunday's Reds-Padres game.

The little one's dream came true, as she had the opportunity to meet Votto and have a little chat with him prior to the game.
