MLB Checks In With 0.007% Positive Test Rate In Latest COVID Results, Fans Should Be In The Stands

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, Major League Baseball conducted 14,845 tests and had just one positive this week. Even with that new positive test, all of baseball still has a mere 0.007% positive rate.

And that's with limited fans in attendance. It's time to unleash fans in the stands and get back to our lives.

Now that baseball is finding out through science that positive COVID tests are rare--fans should be able to attend games. Hindsight hero Dr. Fauci claimed a few months ago that it's "improbable" that people could contract the virus outdoors, so there's no chance fans sitting outside "put the players at risk." No study has indicated that fans in the stands could cause a rise in COVID numbers.

It's pure fear-mongering, and we should demand common sense leadership from those in charge of Major League Baseball.

Let's stand back and watch how these latest numbers impact fan attendance heading into the regular season. If commissioner Rob Manfred follows the science, then expect to have a beer and hot dog in hand come April 1.
