Dodgers Pitcher Kershaw Not Sure What The Future Holds In Free Agency

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw has been with the Dodgers for the past 14 season, but coming back to the city of lights for a 15th season remains up in the air in 2021.

The 33-year-old ace is finishing up a huge three-year deal that has paid him $93 million along the way.

Kershaw is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so he doesn't know what uniform he'll be wearing next year.

"I can honestly say I have no idea what's going to happen," Kershaw said. "I really have no idea. I'm excited to pitch for now. I'm excited to pitch in the playoffs again—which is something I don't want to take for granted."

Kershaw has decisions to make about his career as well before he and the Dodgers even start to chat about a new deal. He's coming back from a forearm injury, which has kept him sidelined since early July, and he has to decide how much longer he's going to put his body through the rigors of pitching in the Majors.

Reports now state that both Kershaw and the Dodgers are likely to hold off on contract talks until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached.

In his career, Kershaw has made $257,701,142. It will be interesting to see how things play out for the pitcher and the Dodgers this offseason.
