Dodgers, Padres And Rays Playing Above Everyone Else In Major League Baseball

When the Major League Baseball season started, there was no question that everyone still felt that the champion Los Angeles Dodgers were the best in all of baseball.

After grabbing NL Cy Young award winner Trevor Bauer as a free agent, the Dodgers looked unstoppable when the season started.

However, there have been a few bumps in the road this season, as the Dodgers have had to contend with a young, up and coming San Diego Padres team that isn't intimated to take the field against Los Angeles.

The two teams are going to have a full season of going back and forth playing each other, and those could be some of the most fun games this season.

San Diego isn't the only team that has something to play for when they take on the Dodgers. The best team in the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays, are also plenty motivated.

The Rays came back against the Blue Jays on Sunday for their 10th straight win, scoring four ninth-inning runs to secure the win.

There's no question that a rematch of the World Series from a year ago between the Dodgers and Rays would be a lot of fun. These two teams have proven already that they are among the best on the field. They play with a passion and an intelligence that they then use to their advantage.

For now, there's plenty of time for things to play out, but you can tell there are a couple teams that are just a bit better than the others - count the Dodgers and Rays on that list. But for now, don't forget about the Padres.
