Dodgers Ace Trevor Bauer Accused Of Assault
LA Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer is under investigation for an alleged assault that took place earlier this year, per TMZ. The alleged assault involves a physical altercation that Bauer claims was nothing more than rough sex.
Marc Garelick, the victim’s attorney told TMZ the following: "(the accuser) sought and obtained an order for Protection from the Court against Mr. Trevor Bauer, under the Domestic Violence Prevention Act."
"The order is a result of a recent assault that took place at the hands of Mr. Bauer where Ms. Hill suffered severe physical and emotional pain."
The website also states that the victim has been granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against the former Cy Young winner.
Bauer is yet to be formally charged, but the victim and her lawyer are hopeful that law enforcement will soon take action: "Our goal is to keep Mr. Bauer from contacting our client in any way possible. We anticipate there will be criminal action against Mr. Bauer, and it is our hope law enforcement will take our client’s allegations and case seriously," per TMZ.
In the first season of a three-year, $102 million dollar contract with Los Angeles, Bauer currently sports a 2.59 ERA with 8 wins and 5 losses.
His next scheduled start is slated for the Fourth of July versus the Washington Nationals.
