Bill Murray Absolutely Loves A Full Wrigley Field
The Chicago Cubs welcomed back crowds at 100% capacity for the first time since September 2019 with no one other than an ecstatic Bill Murray to lead the crowd.
Murray, a Chicago native, excited the 41,000 fans at Wrigley Field as the Cubs faced the Cardinals.
"This is what it feels like to be 100%, and we're going to be louder from right now until the last out in the top of the ninth inning, understood? Let's scare the hell out of these Cardinals, let's scare the hell out of them," he said before leading all of Wrigley Field to sing "Take Me out to the Ball Game."
Ahead of the game, Cubs Senior Vice President of Communications Julian Green said fully vaccinated fans do not have to wear a mask at the ballpark and sanitation stations and contactless payments would be present.
The Cubs went on to beat the Cardinals 8-5.
