Mets Lose Game In Brutal Fashion

Just when you thought this Mets season couldn't get any worse -- they blow a game in the 10th inning against one of the worst teams in baseball. This ground ball down the right field line proved to be too much to handle for Brandon Drury.

Arguably the most 2021 Mets play ever.

Trevor May, who's been one of the team's most reliable arms, loses on the mound, and then a defensive replacement in right field butchers the game. Injuries are starting to catch up with the Mets, so it was only a matter of time before they started making fools of themselves.

Losing a game to the Diamondbacks, who have lost 13 their last 15 games, is just the latest bump in road for New York. Another pothole is on its way though. It's just a matter of time.
