Watch: Miley Cyrus Handles Wardrobe Malfunction During New Year's Eve Show

Miley Cyrus experienced a wardrobe malfunction during her “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party,” but the singer was able to handle the situation like a pro.

As she started to sing her anthem, “Party in the U.S.A.,” Cyrus head toward the front of the stage, already aware that something wasn’t right as she clutched a piece of her shimmery top with her left hand.

“All right,” she said, as she spun around and continued to swing her hips as she walked toward the back of the stage.

She barely missed a beat before returning wearing an oversized red jacket with nothing underneath — would it be New Year's Eve without a Miley nip slip?

“This is still the most amount of clothes I’ve worn onstage,” she said in the middle of the song.

The NBC event — which was also hosted by Pete Davidson and featured a musical lineup including 24 Goldn, Saweetie, Jack Harlow, Cyrus' younger sister Noah and Brandi Carlile — is special is streaming on Peacock and select clips can be viewed on YouTube.

Miley and Pete performed a version of "Miami," as well.

"Tonight's show was all about being flexible, rolling with the punches, and making the best out of even the worst circumstances," Miley said at the end of the show. "Let's bring that into the New Year with us."
