Man Found Dead Is Twin Brother Of Bears RB Tarik Cohen

The twin brother of Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen was found dead on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

Tyrell Antar Cohen, 25, was reported missing and later found dead at the Duke Energy substation by Raleigh police and Wake County Sheriff's Office around 9 a.m., ABC 11 reports.

ABC 11's Tim Pulliam reports that authorities believe Tyrell Cohen was electrocuted while attempting to climb equipment in an attempt to flee from law enforcement.

Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker told ABC 11 that North Carolina State Highway Patrol tried to initiate a traffic stop on Saturday before Tyrell Cohen was reported missing.

"We believe at this point, it is connected to a missing person case being investigated by the Raleigh Police Department," Baker said.

Foul play is not suspected in the case, the article states.

Former Tar Heel and Bears running back Tarik Cohen, who was drafted by the team in 2017, is going into his fifth season in the league.

He's appeared in 51 career games with 22 starts, rushing for 1,101 yards on 264 carries and five touchdowns while adding 209 receptions for 1,575 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also recorded a reception in all 51 career games; his 209 receptions since 2017 ranked fourth in the NFL among running backs over that span before he was injured in Week 3 of the 2020 season.
