Facebook to Lara Trump: President Trump's Voice is Not Allowed

Facebook and Instagram removed Lara Trump's video featuring former President Donald Trump, her father-in-law, saying it violated the platform's policies on the former president.

Lara Trump screenshotted and shared the email that Facebook sent her explaining the violation:

“In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts."

Lara Trump said the move is just one step closer to Orwell’s 1984.

Facebook confirmed to The Hill that the email is authentic.

Facebook may still permanently ban Trump, depending on its Oversight Board's decision.

Jason Miller, Trump’s senior adviser, says Trump will return to social media in “probably two or three months” with his own platform.
