Dad Makes Final Child Support Payment By Dumping 80,000 Pennies Onto Estranged Daughter's Lawn

A father in Virginia took penny-pinching to new heights by delivering his final child support payment to his ex-wife with a total of 80,000 pennies.

The incident was reported by the daughter, 18-year-old Avery Sanford, as a tasteless act of revenge directed at her and her mother by the estranged dad. She reached out to Henrico Police shortly after it happened to report the scene.

Sanford commented, "It’s not just my mom he’s trying to embarrass, it’s also me and my sister and it’s upsetting that he didn’t consider that before he did that."

The pernicious payment by pennies happened after the father rented a trailer to haul the amount over to his ex-wife's house, then pulling up to her front lawn and unloading the wave of change for the mother and daughter to collect.

In case Brian Williams and Mara Gay are reading this, the 80,000 pennies converts to a total of $800.

According to the Fox News report, the father followed up by admitting that he regretted his decision to force the payment in such a messy manner.

After collecting the final payment piece by piece, the mother and daughter agreed to donate the money to a local domestic abuse center.

"Turning around and donating that money to moms and children in need, I feel like that really turns this situation into a positive. You can learn from it," added the young lady.
