Couple Gets Arrested After Faking Vaccine Cards To Watch Buffalo Bills

A couple attending the Bills vs. Patriots AFC Wild Card Round were arrested for allegedly faking vaccination cards in order to enter the game, meeting Highmark Stadium's entry guidelines.

According to the Washington Post, "Amber and Michael Naab, 37 and 34, each were charged with one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument during their Tuesday arraignment in Orchard Park Town Court."

The report detailed, "The charge, a Class D felony, carries a maximum of seven years in prison if convicted."

Despite violating New York Governor Kathy Hochul's ruling in December to elevate fake vaccine cards into a state offense, Erie County DA John Flynn announced that he won't bring down the hammer on the two.

“Am I going to send them to Attica? No. But they’re going to get prosecuted,” Flynn responded during a media session on Wednesday.

“I hate to be the guy that says, ‘I need to send a message,’ I don’t like being that guy, but you can’t do this. There’s a law. We’ve got laws on the books.”

The couple reportedly flaunted their plan to use a fake vaccine card on social media leading up to their visit on Jan. 15. WaPo notes that someone that had seen the couple's online posts, snitched on the two and used the content to identify them at Highmark in the third quarter of the Bills' postseason victory.
