Make No Mistake, Saban Used The ManningCast To Appeal To Arch Manning

Alabama head coach Nick Saban is always recruiting. We've known that for a while and we saw it during his appearance ESPN's ManningCast on Monday.

Speaking to Peyton and Eli Manning, Saban told the story of what he told Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts when he was looking to transfer from Alabama in 2019. His message? A quaterback needs to go somewhere with the best players around him. Wink wink Arch Manning.

The 16-year-old is 247Sports No. 1 ranked quarterback in the 2023 recruiting class. He's also the son of the third Manning brother, Cooper, and the nephew of Peyton and Eli. Arch has 12 offers already, with Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and LSU leading the race for his services. Arch has obvious ties to Ole Miss with Cooper and Eli attending the school, but Saban is making sure that the Crimson Tide are not forgotten in the race.

Now if that ain't next level recruiting, then what is? Many were bewildered when Saban was announced to come on the ManningCast, but it's clear what Saban's intentions were. And who can blame him? This is textbook stuff from the greatest college football coach of all time.

And a great answer to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, who notably only started following Arch on Instagram last week.
