LSU will allow 100% fan capacity for all of its outdoor sporting events and masks will no longer be required.

LSU Athletics announced Wednesday it would follow the lead of Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edward’s proclamation.

LSU Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said the university is excited about the opportunity to welcome fans back in full force this weekend.

“This move is another positive step for our campus and community,” Woodward said. “I want to thank our fans that have patiently waited and abided by the protocols we had in place since our return to competition in the fall.”

Fans will also be allowed to resume normal tailgating activities on campus with no COVID-related restrictions, the news release states.

The move to full capacity at LSU outdoor athletic events starts on Friday night at Alex Box Stadium when the Tigers host top-ranked Arkansas. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

  1. Just to note, A&M is still being CoronaBros, requiring masks while mobile (ie you must be sitting and drinking/eating to remove mask) in an outdoor space. So much for A&M being “conservative.” What a disgrace. I wanted to bring my kids up there for the LSU series, but they can go straight to hell with that shit. I’d sooner duct tape a straw to my 7 year old’s face than pay for that experience in a supposedly conservative bastion. Congratulations Aggies, you’re exactly like Texas.

Aggies have lost all claim to being the “conservative-ish” college in Texas. For f@* sake, we are turning blue because your alumni are allowing this. Not a single Aggie should be showing up or buying any aftermarket tickets for any SEC series, to show what sheep you let the administration turn you into.
