LSU-Bama Postponed, Big Blow for CBS

We knew that LSU-Bama was in limbo this weekend due to a COVID situation at LSU, and now the SEC has announced that the game is indeed postponed.

Even though LSU is not the formidable contender they've been in the past, this is a blow for CBS, which had planned to air this game directly after Saturday's round of The Masters. The game in all likelihood would have garnered a massive rating for the network.

As with everything in 2020, we'll see if CBS gets a make-up game out of ESPN/ABC's SEC inventory, and we'll see if Bama-LSU ultimately gets rescheduled for a later date.

Update: At least on my initial round of outreaches, it doesn't sound like ESPN/ABC would be too keen on giving CBS a game out of their inventory. Compounding matters, ESPN/ABC also lost Tennessee-Texas A&M to COVID-19 issues.
