Le’Veon Bell Inks A Deal With Ravens

Former Steelers All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell has now signed with the Ravens, according to a tweet moments ago from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 29-year-old two-time All-Pro now joins a ground attack that was expected to feature Gus Edwards after a foot injury sent J.K. Dobbins to the sidelines for the remainder of the season. The recent loss of Justice Hill also suddenly made signing the veteran back a necessity.

Le’Veon Bell comes into 2021 having touched the ball only 82 times last year in his brief stints with the Jets and Chiefs. Can’t say he isn’t fresh.

Will the addition of Bell be a game-changer? Not likely, however Baltimore didn’t want the workload to pile up on now starting running back Gus Edwards when they’ll need him if they want to win a playoff game in January.

Le’Veon Bell is expected to be activated “when ready,” according to the Ravens, so lord knows when that’ll be. Doesn’t really matter for Fantasy purposes because if you’ve got Le’Veon Bell on your squad, you’ve lost. The addition of Bell does, however, help Gus Edwards remain upright long-term. Now THAT might matter for Fantasy team.
