LeBron Says He Doesn’t ‘Bend for Nobody’, Social Media Reminds Him About China

Some days you see a comment online that can’t be real. One so foolish that had to be written by a top-notch SNL writer for laughs. And then, you realize 2020 needs to write another chapter of its autobiography.

While sticking up for Goodyear amid President Donald Trump’s call for a boycott, LeBron made the most inaccurate comment of his life. “We don’t bend, fold or break for nobody,” LeBron said hoping the room was filled with puppets. Spoiler: it was.

LeBron may be right about Akron and its workers. But the “we” part, uh, no one is buying that.

Since no reporter had enough of a backbone to point out the obvious, Twitter did. They reminded LeBron that just last year he bent the knee to the Chinese communist party like an order from Daenerys Targaryen sitting on top of her dragon.

This tweet is clearly the best:

It’s a mic-drop; however, there are too many other good ones to go unnoticed:

Even a sports shot:

Let this be your daily reminder: LeBron is an opportunistic fraud who puts his shoe brand before human rights.

  1. Hey Bobby,
We can all see that THE KING HAS NO CLOTHES.
And all the sports media sycophants standing right there with him shaking their bobble heads up and down, telling him he’s so well informed. Why, look at the book he has in his hands…and when he dons his large framed glasses and his herringbone sports coat, oh my…it’s enough to take your breath away!

    • Hey Bobby,
I’m sorry i didn’t give you any credit for writing a great piece with implied questions about LBJ’s integrity and self-awareness. He’s a tone deaf influencer. Factories all over the Midwest went to China to get slave labor prices and jack up their bottom lines…hey, LBJ…does that sound familiar?

      • If James really cared about Akron, he’d force Nike to open factories there and employ black Americans to make shoes in a slavery-free environment, like Whitlock has suggested in the past. But he’s too much of a coward to try to use his clout to influence Nike, and probably too damn stupid to think to do this himself, and is surrounded by enablers who know how dumb and uninformed he is but don’t care.

  2. I really don’t have anything positive to say about Lebron besides he’s good at a sport I no longer watch. His views on the fantasy world he lives in are laughable! Down 45% and dropping…keep it up, “King”!

  3. Is an intervention needed here. This cat is on a bender of stupid takes that seems to be a cry for help. Bron don’t listen to those telling you that you are the voice for the downtrodden. You’re stumbling through the streets of intellectual discussion holding your crumpled up bag of false and embarrassing talking points. Please someone close to him make a move.
