Knicks Ban Spitting Fan From MSG Indefinitely, Kevin Durant Reacts

The Knicks have banned the fan who was caught on camera spitting on Hawks star Trae Young during Game 2 at Madison Square Garden. We'll always support heckling players of all sports, but you can't do this, especially since it's absolutely disgusting.

Here's the Knicks' statement made following the incident:

"We investigated the matter and determined that this patron, who was not a season ticket holder, did indeed spit on Trae Young, and for that reason, he is now banned from the Garden indefinitely. We apologize to Trae and the entire Atlanta Hawks organization for this fan's behavior. This was completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our venue. We have turned the information over to the appropriate authorities," they tweeted.

Not exactly sure why the fan being a season ticket holder would matter whatsoever, but the team apparently found that worth mentioning. It's possible that the Knicks wanted to make it appear as if this had been the fan's first trip to Madison Square Garden. They did the right thing by banning the fan, and the rest of what's left of the NBA's fanbase should take notice.

Nets star Kevin Durant tweeted his approval:

He's not wrong.
