Keyontae Johnson, a forward for the Florida Gators and the preseason SEC basketball player of the year this season, was taken off the court on a stretcher during today’s game against Florida State. Johnson appeared to have passed out on the court.
Our thoughts and prayers with Keyontae Johnson and @GatorsMBK 🙏

Stretcher apparently coming out for the SEC's player of the year, #Gators forward Keyontae Johnson. Seems he passed out on the court, not sure what happened.

Watching this game is incredibly uncomfortable. I cannot even imagine how Keyontae Johnson's teammates feel. They never showed him on TV after he collapsed, and we've gotten no info about him at all from the broadcast, have we? https://t.co/vQzd9GdbcX

They’re now placing Keyontae Johnson onto a stretcher and wheeling him from the court.
Whole arena is silent. Hope he’s ok. https://t.co/SrR5KSkowo pic.twitter.com/kal6AA2BmM

Florida player, Keyonte Johnson, collapsed on the court coming out of a timeout in the game with Florida State
The Florida players are in tears. Everyone please say a prayer for him

I am shocked they continued the Florida game. Their teammate was taken off the court after passing out. The players were visibly crying and all of a sudden they were back on the court.

Clearly, this is a very scary occurrence and it goes without saying that we are keeping Johnson in our thoughts.

This is a developing story and we will update if/when more information becomes available.
Rampant speculation that’s it’s after affect of Covid…Loki out for the socialists
Praying. Please no covid comments. Brings back memories of Hank Gathers
My thoughts exactly. I watched an ESPN doc on Hank, and when he collapsed? It was so awful. My heart broke for his family.
When it comes to the health of a young student athlete, especially one in intensive care with no information to go on, it’s not appropriate to inflict your political beliefs.
It is appropriate to offer prayers to Keyontae, his family, his teammates, and anyone else who cares for him.
No matter what you or I believe Richard, there is a time and a place, and this is not it.
My prayers to Keyontae and his family, as well as anyone else affected by today’s events. Hopefully he’s fine and can continue what seems to be a very promising future in basketball.
ESPN and AP report the young man had Covid in the summer…espn and others will blame Covid for this no matter what ….that is my point
Richard was just making a statement. I do not think it reflects “his politics” but merely his observation that some people will try to make this about Covid, regardless of the facts.
Bingo…
