Josh Gordon Shines In Fan Controlled Football Debut

Josh Gordon's 2021 season consisted of just one game, but what a game it was.

Gordon made his Fan Controlled Football debut on Saturday night as a member of the Zappers by catching two touchdown passes -- including a Hail Mary to end the game and allow the Zappers to defeat the previously unbeaten Beasts. It all came in the final week of the FCF's first regular season.

Gordon requested a release from the Seattle Seahawks, following another NFL suspension, and landed in the FCF with the goals of  being “part of something bigger than myself” and to “impart some wisdom” to others with NFL dreams. He added that playing football sure beats sitting at home.

As an aside, the Zappers won with Gordon but without quarterback Johnny Manziel, who missed his second straight game after dental surgery. Gordon and Manziel were teammates with the Cleveland Browns for a brief period.

Now, they could be reunited, when the FCF kicks off its playoffs next week. And if is Gordon is anything close to as good as he was in his debut, you can expect the opponent to get zapped.
