Joe Burrow Is Going to Get Massacred Behind that Bengals Offensive Line

Bengals fans should be extremely excited for the future after seeing two games of Joe Burrow, and extremely concerned about what will happen to his body between now and then as he gets mauled behind a porous offensive line.

Burrow was only sacked three times, but he got hit eight times last night against the Browns. It would've been more than that if not for the fact that he's elusive and sidestepped pressure on a number of occasions.

To his considerable credit, Burrow was diplomatic after the game, not only in not passing blame onto his beleaguered offensive line, but in giving them credit for the fact that he didn't get hit more on 61 pass attempts:

Look, Joe Burrow already appears to be a much better prospect than David Carr was. Nonetheless, when I saw Burrow getting crushed play after play last night it reminded me of what Carr had to endure with the Texans. The Bengals still have four games against the Ravens and Steelers, and they play the Browns again. It's going to be a long, painful season for Burrow unless there are fast, dramatic changes.
